They’ve implemented farming and crafting systems they’ve provided an enormous palette of adorable monsters with unique abilities and animations they’ve stuffed each planet with mini-dungeons and NPCs to keep exploration fresh. Back in early 2014, Starbound featured a few quests and bosses, but largely revolved around exploring procedurally generated planets and, once you had the highest tier of armor, building stuff Terraria-style until you got bored.
